JORDAN + MITCH

Photo By: By Jennifer Burch Photography

LOCATION: BIDJA ESTATE

THE DATE: 4th September 2025

HOW DID YOU MEET? Mitch and Jordan worked together Active Fitness.

THE PROPOSAL: Mitch proposed to Jordan on Mother’s Day 2024. He took her down to the lake that they go to every summer. He gave Jordan her Mother’s Day gifts and the last gift she opened was a photo frame from their 3 year old son that said “Daddy it’s time to give Mummy our last name”. Jordan turned to look at Mitch and he was sitting there holding the ring.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY: For Mitch, it was seeing Jordan and the girls walk down the aisle. For Jordan, it was their choreographed first dance, as well as the hours spent on the dancefloor with their family and friends.

THE PLANNING: Jordan kept it super simple by using her Notes app on her phone. No wedding planners or spreadsheets. She booked vendors she loved and knew they would work great together. The best thing she did was book a wedding coordinator, Alicia from Memory Lane Weddings & Events. Alicia checked in with the couple along the way ensuring everything was prepped and ready to go, as well as managing the flow of the day.

THE STYLE: Jordan wanted the styling to be kept simple. The barn at Bidja Estate speaks for itself and doesn’t need much added to the existing decor. The couple went with whites and greens for their florals, keeping decor to a minimum.

DIY ELEMENTS: Jordan and Mitch spent hours putting together their photo wall which they were extremely proud of. They put hundreds of black and white photos of themselves on a 2m x 2m backdrop and topped it off with a neon sign that said “The Morleys”. They also made their champagne wall and beer pong table.

CEREMONY SONG: The bridesmaids walked down the aisle to ‘The Ordinary’ by Alex Warren and Jordan walked down to ‘Yours’ by Russel Dickerson.

THE FIRST DANCE: ‘Carry You Home’ by Alex Warren

THE BLOOPERS:  Seconds before Jordan walked down the aisle Mitch had to do a nervous wee. When he walked out of the bush, he walked into a branch that scratched his eye. He had to wear an eye patch and sunglasses for the rest of the night.

HOT TIPS: Jordan says: ‘Enjoy it, don’t overthink it too much (I know that’s easier said than done). Make sure you plan for down time the morning of. The last thing you want is to feel rushed and stressed. We also didn’t do a first look and I’m so glad we didn’t, seeing the raw reaction of Mitch seeing me for the first time was indescribable’.
